Meg’s medical costs for her upcoming surgery

Hi, I’m Meg’s aunt April! I’ve started this gofundme to help with covering costs for Megan’s upcoming surgery.

In April of this year, Meg learned that she has a carotid body paraganglioma on her carotid artery. After numerous doctor appointments and her fair share of pokes & prods, it has thankfully been determined that the tumor is not cancerous. However, it still needs to be removed and she will undergo surgery on August 4th at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ. She has an amazing team of dr’s that will ensure she is well taken care of during surgery.

It will require at least one night stay in the hospital and over 2 weeks of resting recovery, where she won’t be able to see her beloved clients and work her hair magic. Unfortunately, since she is self-employed, this will mean a hit financially. My hope is to offer some assistance so she can focus on recovery and not worry about anything other than returning to her happy, healthy self.

I have always said ‘to know Meg, is to love Meg’ and she truly is a light in all of our lives! I would love nothing more than to ease the financial burden of surgery, a hospital stay, and time away from work for my sweet niece.
