Meiko Saved My Life Please Help Me Save His!

Long Sad Story, Breaking my Heart and I'm Terrified.

Meiko had his assessments at the vets, he is completely deaf and blind in one eye. He only sees shadows with the other eye, so he's following my sign language commands because he can see the shapes my hand is making. Soon he will be totally blind and deaf without the operation. I hate to beg but can everyone please share his appeal? Every small donation helps and he needs help.

I had a full workup and blood tests done on Meiko and the results came back perfect. His blood count, vitamins, minerals, glucose and organ functions. He was only slightly anemic, just like his mum. Health wise It could have been a younger dog results. I'm not as worried about the anaesthetic so much because he's been under general twice already. I am terrified about not Being able to communicate with him.

Our Story
2010 I had a miscarriage the next month I adopted a rejected Staffordshire Terrier. I was already looking for a dog. Researched breeds and traits. It came down to a German Shepherd or a Staffordshire terrer. I was travelling the country racing as a Stock Car Driver or mechanic and Staffies are great to travel with.

The puppy was on Gumtree advertised with a full-size cage, pee pads, bowls, lead, collar, toys, food, treats all for £70 with a free puppy... He was 10 weeks old and they were in over their head with him.
I met (Jack) who promptly peed on my foot it annoyed his current owners and I laughed. I took him home that night and named him Meiko because at the time I was obsessed with the rally driver Kris Meeke

A little about me I was diagnosed with a type of heart failure called Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. I also have severe depression from a lifetime of trauma, Fibromyalgia and joint inflammation so I had to give up my extreme lifestyle of racing cars, bikes, quads, jet skis and modelling.
Meiko went everywhere with me, both him and Pixie have life jacket for going to the water, they have fluorescent vests and flashing collars for race car events, both of them have secure harnesses and seat belt restraint harnesses for riding around in fast cars and my convertible.

Over the years Meiko and I have been homeless more than we've had roofs heads and no support system. We lived in my car and I worked as a food delivery driver with Meeks in the back with me and at night he would lie on top of me and keep me warm. We slept on couches, floors and even "gained access" to abandoned buildings or council buildings ready to be torn down.
When he was 2 years old we were sleeping on a friend's floor in a spare bedroom for 8 months and I as watching a TV show about dog agility competition but the dog had gone deaf so they thought that the dogs career was over but they taught her sign language and she was amazing.

Meiko has always been super smart and excellent with training so when I saw the sign language training on TV I tried it with him and he took to it no problem.

When Meeks was 6 we got another rejected 11 week old puppy who was an absolute nutcase. I had them both DNA tested to find out that Meiko is a pure breed and I was told Pixie was a Staff x Greyhound so imagine my surprise when I find out she is actually a Staffie x Dalmatian!! (Btw both sterilised at the correct ages as more unneeded or wanted puppies were needed in the world)
Now we get to the heartbreaking part. Meeks will be 14 in November and he has been gradually losing his hearing which is upsetting but from 2-year-old up until now I have kept up with both of their sign language training so I can keep him safe. Today he is completely deaf I but I could communicate with him and I could keep him safe. I can give him signals to stop, stay, to come up on the couch, give paws, stay, sign when it's time for his meals, direct him to follow me, back up or leave the room but now I'm terrified.

Meiko has developed cataracts in his eyes it is extremely pronounced in his right eye, his left is totally blind. The operation is going to cost me £3,500 for his full sight back.

I'm most terrified because I communicate with him with my hands. I will warn the first person to say he's a good old age or he's had a good long if I will hunt you down and I will post rotten salmon through your letterbox everyday for the next 14 years.

I want to say thank you to anyone who can help with the costs. He's my baby boy and I don't know what I would do without him and I certainly don't know what his sister would do without him so thank you from the bottom of my heart to anyone who could even spare five pounds and love to all x
