Hallo, mein Name ist Christian. Am 16.09.2017 wurde bei mir Darmkrebs diagnostiziert. Seitdem habe ich mehrere Krankenhausaufenthalte (Stoma- und Port-Operation) und Chemo-Behandlungen hinter mir.
Da ich nicht nur auf die Chemotherapie vertrauen wollte, habe ich mich nach anderen Behandlungmethoden umgesehen. Gefunden habe ich die in Berlin ansässige Klinik Havelhöhe die neben der Chemotherapie auch die Misteltherapie und Hyperthermie (https://www.havelhoehe.de/hyperthermie.html) anbietet. Da diese leider nicht von der Krankenkassse übernommen wird, muss ich die Kosten selber tragen. Daneben kommen ja auch noch die Kosten für die zusätzliche Ernährung, Medikamente und Fahrkosten dazu. Das alles zu stemmen, wenn man auch nur noch einen Teil von seinem ehemaligen Gehalt von der Krankenkasse ausgezahlt bekommt, ist mehr als schwer.

Hello, my name is Christian. On 16.09.2017 I was diagnosed with colon cancer. Since then, I have several hospitalizations (stoma and port surgery) and chemo treatments behind me. Not only did I want to rely on chemotherapy, I looked for other treatments. I found the Berlin-based Havelhöhe clinic that offers not only chemotherapy but also mistletoe therapy and hyperthermia (https://www.havelhoehe.de/hyperthermie.html). Since this is unfortunately not covered by the health insurance, I have to bear the costs myself. In addition, there are the costs for additional nutrition, medicines and driving costs. It is more than difficult to handle all this, even if you only pay a part of your former salary from the health insurance company.
