Meister Family Fundraiser
Donation protected
Five of the greatest people on this planet experienced an unimaginable loss on the evening of August 1st as their house caught fire on the upper level. Thankfully everyone is safe, and no one was injured!
But the whole upstairs is virtually gone, or smoke damaged in a way that it’s almost certainly a complete loss up there.
The firefighters did a fantastic job and were quick and thorough. Unfortunately, because of their efforts, there is a tremendous amount of water damage on the main level. They told us that the ceiling would more than likely collapse over night.
Needless to say, they all are pretty crushed, especially realizing they won’t be in the house for weeks, if not months.
Obviously, insurance will kick in and do what it needs to, but there will be some lag time and they will have a lot of personal/living expenses in the interim. Their friends and family are organizing this fundraiser to help with the emotional and financial strain that inevitably occurs with a personal disaster such as this.
The Meister Family have given so much to this community and are an amazing group of people. Please consider a donation to help Kurt, Angie, Lincoln, Lilly and Laynie (and their dog Brix) get through this very difficult time!
Need to add this because of Lincoln and Lilly's status as NCAA athletes:
We have worked with Indiana and Minnesota-Duluth’s Athletics Compliance Offices to ensure the fundraiser is conducted in accordance with NCAA legislation.
