We are hoping to raise funds to send Mekah to Malaysia to be apart of Cricket Without Borders.
Mekah loves Cricket.
She loves playing, coaching and loves her team mates and Club.
Playing for Mandurah Cricket Club, Singleton Irwinians & Rockingham Mandurah Districts has given Mekah many opportunities.
Mekah boasts some impressive cricket and leadership achievements, including playing District and representative cricket in U14 and youth teams, WA Cricket emerging leaders program and inaugural girls schools game as well as volunteering at WA cricket, Perth Scorchers and Cricket Australia events. Mekah has been a junior coach at multiple clubs over several season and is currently studying at SEDA college as part of the year 12 cricket program.
Mekah is also a Fierce Girls cricket ambassador, and has played a large role in bridging the gap, and improving the pathway between Mandurah’s female Junior and senior female programs. She is an integral part of Mandurah Cricket Club’s inaugural Women’s A Grade team - in the inaugural PCA A grade competition.
Cricket without borders is more than just another opportunity for Mekah to develop herself; it’s an opportunity to develop those who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity.
Cricket Without Borders is about opportunities through cricket. We aim to promote and develop the game of cricket for young women in the spirit of sportsmanship, friendship, cultural diversity and fun.
Mekah will have the opportunity to play cricket with local women's teams in Ipoh, Penang and Kuala Lumpur
Mekah will also have the opportunity to go to local schools to promote cricket and Cricket Without Borders also donates cricket equipment to those without.
