Mekhi James Relief Fund

After getting a haircut to celebrate Juneteenth and Father's Day weekend three-year-old Mekhi James became a victim of gun violence in Chicago's Austin neighborhood. We are raising funds for resources to support the family of our little King. He was all our baby, He will now go on to be with God and the angels.
" The day it happened I was half a block away celebrating my Grand Daughter's graduation. I heard the gun shots ringing out, thinking they were fire works-never did I imagine that one of those bullets took the life of a three year old innocent baby, returning home from getting a hair cut. I cannot get the sound of those gunshots out of my head. Can you? When can we replace the gun shots, with the unity of community, joining together to fight against these injustices. Please help me assist this family in this very difficult time. Please help me help this family- helping the family will help us all. We are not free until we are free of violence. Let freedom ring not gun violence or gun shots!!" - Cynthia Williams CEO of The Austin People's Action Center
