Mekonnen Damtew's Memorial

Mekonnen Damtew, a dear father, husband, and community leader loved by many passed away suddenly due to a heart attack on August 29,2016. His loss has been felt by those far and near as he was a true leader loved for his passion and heart within his Portland community and beyond.

In order to help with the costs incurred by his family by his sudden death, we are setting up this page. All money received will be used for the memorial service to be held in Portland and sending his body for burial in East Africa. 

The remaining amount will be used to set up a scholarship in his honor in his beloved city of Portland.
