Mel Hoderewski

Hello, My name is Melissa Grohotolsky. I am here in support of my friend Mel whose family has been really close to mine since our boys were playing t-ball. In May of 2020 Mel became ill and started having testing performed to figure out what may be going on. After removal of her gall bladder, nuclear tests determined she had a rare case of severe Gastroparesis (stomach paralysis). There is no cure for this disease. Since then she has been in and out of multiple hospitals and on many medications. In January of 2023 after the constant struggle of the disease and the hospital stays, Mel had to leave her job as a special education teacher. Now as the medical bills and medication costs are building, without her working, I am asking for help of family and friends. Her husband Seth has been working hard for the family with one in college and one 2 years away from college and also for our local youth sports organization. I feel as a community we could help out too.
