Melanie & Holley Need a Car

Hi, my name is Melanie and I'm raising funds to help my daughter and me get a car. My daughter, Holley, is a hard worker, a loyal friend, and she has a heart of gold. She works at a library and spends her days helping people learn to use the laser printer, the 3D printer, and the Cricut machine. She is also an artist with incredible talent.

On March 2nd, I was driving Holley to work and we were in a pretty bad wreck. We were lucky to only have minor injuries. Our car was totaled though. We only have the minimum coverage with our car insurance, so we didn't receive anything towards replacing it. This has really hurt us. Holley works about 15 minutes away from home. We've been having to rely on her sister, Rikki, to take her to and from work everyday and me to my doctors appointments. I have several health issues that require me to see a few different doctors. Sometimes I have 3 or 4 appointments in a week. Rikki has 3 young children and it's difficult making so many trips when they are all still in car seats. She's been great about helping us but it's a lot to ask.

We could use some help to get a reliable used car. Our credit is good, but since our cousin passed away in November, we've been struggling to cover the bills that he was paying while he lived with us. So we simply can't afford another payment every month.

I've been putting off doing this because it's hard for me to ask for help. We're just in a really bad place financially right now and we just don't know what else to do.
