Friends,

Many of you know that the horse industry is changing dramatically, especially over the past few year in ares that are becoming less rural and more suburban as "development" continues. Melanie is one of those greatly affected by these changes, and in "Over the Hill Horse Show" terms, she no longer qualifies for the Spring Chicken classes. Mel could use some help making improvements at Hellzapoppin Farm.

There are many things Mel cannot do herself. While we are arranging some farm work days, not everyone is local or can contribute time. So we are setting this up for those who wish to help monetarily to help fix up Mel's Farm.

Mel has been a long time support in the horse industry, especially in teaching new people interested in riding. She works mostly with kids through her lesson program and her activities in 4H, but all of us have benefited from her knowledge and assistance over the years. I know I will never forget pony camp and riding in to the Sesame Street Song that her late husband would not let her play at their wedding.

Any little bit you can contribute will go to getting Mel caught up on expenses, fixing up the farm and keeping her a float.
