Melanie Meade's son

We are raising money for Melanie Meade, our dear friend and comrade who suddenly lost her son Robert Wellington III to the streets. Many of you know Melanie from her fierce commitment to environmental, economic and racial justice in Clairton PA. Melanie exudes love for the world, for the environment, and for human health. Let's show Melanie that same love and help her support her son's funeral and the aftermath of this tragedy.

Robert Wellington III was born on August 3, 1996 and died on Feb. 23, 2024. Robert was 27 when he was murdered. He adored his children, loved to cook any and everything and he could make a luscious meal out of anything around. By age 7, he was at the shoulder of Melanie and by age 12 she was looking up to him. He was a gentle giant who loved intentionally. Melanie hopes to both pay for he funeral and to create a fund for his children which will help them remember and relish in his loving memory.
