Melanoma Cancer Eye Removal Surgery
Donation protected
Hi my name is Nicole. I have been in the US for a little over a year. I woke up one day unable to see from my right eye. I went to the hospital where they determined my retina was detached because there was a tumor pushing against it. I was diagnosed with Melanoma Eye Cancer. Radiation Therapy was not recommended as an option considering my tumor is so big the amount of radiation I will need is going to destroy my vision, be extremely costly, time consuming, and will be very harsh on my body with the possibility of metastasis in my liver and lungs.
I have made the decision to remove my eye as recommended by the doctors at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute as the safest, cost effective, and healthier method for beating my cancer.
I am alone in United States with my family in Colombia unable to see me. I have just one week to raise money to help pay for the surgery and medicine. I dont have health insurance or the money to cover the costs of my surgery and any help will be greatly appreciated and I thank you for your time and energy reading about my story.
