Then . . .
And . . . NOW!
First of all, I want to thank each and everyone of you who have taken the time to visit this profile made for Melinda Weisinger Engler. If, for whatever reason, you cannot financially help Melinda, we ask for your help through your prayers, thoughts, support and your words of encouragemen.
Hello! My name is Kim Muller, and I am Melinda's Mom. No mother wants to see their child, of any age, in pain. It is true that once you have a child you have a child for life. I am proof of that now. Melinda is 29, a single mother of 2 extremely active & energetic boys, ages 7 & 9, who are her life, as she is in my life. She is recently divorced and was dropped from her then husband's insurance when their divorce was finalized. Melinda was a stay-at-home Mom so she has no job, no money and no way to get her own insurance. She has also lost her apartment due to this. For now, she is living with her Step-Dad and I. We do what we can to help her; but, unfortunately, we cannot do it all, as we have 5 other children and 9 grandchildren that we also help whenever we can. Money is tight.
I HAVE to come forward to ask for your help!!! You see, Melinda has broken her leg in 2 places and is now in a LOT OF PAIN!!!! Melinda needs reconstructive surgery to have pins, bolts and plates put into her broken leg in 2 different places ASAP!!! That means she will have 2 incisions! ...that means more pain! ...that also means more and more medical costs. The orthopedic surgeon will not perform her surgery until certain fees are met, that we don't have. The hospital will not allow the surgery to happen unless their fees are paid in advance. In addition to that, there will be radiologists fees, anesthesiologist fees, and fees, fees, and more fees!!! There will be lots of physical therapy after her surgery until she builds up her strength again. After her strength is back and the leg has completely healed she may need further surgery. This other surgery will need to be performed to remove the bolts and plates since there is little skin in the areas where the hardware will be located. Also, there is little muscle tissue in these areas so irritation can occur from the hardware that was implanted.
PLEASE! PLEASE!! PLEASE!!! Help! Melinda has asked me to tell you thank you also. We, as a family, want to once again ask you for your help in any way you can, whether it be financially, through your prayers, support or words of encouragement.
