Melinda Johnson's Medical Expenses

Winners Never Quit! Help support Melinda Johnson as she fights to regain her mobility.
On May 12, 2022, Melinda Johnson was injured in a serious fall from a 15-foot-high roof while serving her community. She was rushed to Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, TX, where she underwent emergency surgery. Several of Melinda’s vertebrae were ruptured, she had a tear in her spinal cord, and she shattered her right heel. Surgery included a bone graft and numerous bolts and screws. Melinda is currently paralyzed from the waist down.
Melinda has always been very active in her community and is the #1 fan of the Edgewood Bulldogs football team. She loves exploring the U.S. from the back of a Harley, seeing 43 states and Canada so far. And Melinda is in her element on the racetrack – she’s the reigning champion driver for the Hammerheads racing team with five wins under her belt. She can’t wait to get back to the fun!
At this point, the doctors have said they’ve done all they could to her body, and the rest is up to prayer and Melinda’s determination. Melinda is more than determined, but to have the best chance of regaining her mobility, we need to get her the best treatment possible. As you can imagine, care and physical rehabilitation costs are extreme, and Melinda does not currently have health insurance, meaning her access to treatment is limited without direct pay.
Your donations will be paid directly to Melinda’s medical treatment, rehabilitation, prescriptions, equipment, and necessary home modifications.
