We are extremely saddened by the passing of one of our colleagues and King County DAJD team members, Confidential Secretary, Melinda Thao. Melinda passed away December 18, 2018, due to medical complications.
Melinda was 36 and is survived by her husband, Fred, and sons Ryu, Raiden, and Kensei, aged 10 to 16. All donations will go to support Melinda's husband and three sons in this time of need.
Melinda had been supporting the DAJD Director’s Office since June of 2013. She was a champion for our Employee Giving Program, worked on numerous special projects, and received a variety of employee awards. More than the great work, we’ve lost someone who brought a smile and warmth to our organization.
Melinda was an amazing human being and will most certainly be missed.
