Melissa Barron's Medical Care

Melissa's journey with breast cancer started over ten months ago. She was set to start radiation this past Wednesday (June 8). On Monday (June 6), she began showing signs that something was going on. Tuesday, the Barron's called 911, and she was taken to Heber Springs Baptist. From there, she was med-flighted to Baptist Little Rock, where she had emergency brain surgery to relieve the pressure from her brain. After surgery, the family talked with the Neurosurgeon; they found out Melissa has metastatic brain cancer.

 

Melissa has been moved from Neuro ICU to a room at Baptist LR. They are waiting on the Neurosurgeon to give them the next steps. She is awake from her surgery, but the doctor wants her to be more awake before he runs more tests on her brain. She is answering questions correctly and is in very little pain.

 

Please pray for her parents, Wiley and Susan Barron as well as her sister and her husband, Amanda and Jarod Goudeau.

 

We will update when we can. This money will go toward Melissa's care as well as the expenses of her family for hotel rooms, gas, boarding Melissa's dog, etc. Funds will go directly to Wiley Barron from GoFundMe. Thank you for considering and giving.

Update 6-15-22

Melissa is out of the hospital and awaiting news with CARTI Conway at her appointment tomorrow. Planning to start radiation as soon as possible. We will update once we know what that will look like. She is getting around good and feeling decent. It has been a traumatic 10 days for her. Thank you for loving and praying for her!
