Melissa Bennett’s Medical Bills
Donation protected
As many of you know, Melissa Bennett was hit by a vehicle while standing in a grassy ditch on June 13th. She was walking with her 3 small children (6,4,2) when they noticed a car and moved to the grassy ditch. The driver of the vehicle left the road and hit Melissa, narrowly missing her youngest that she was pushing in a ride-on car. Melissa sustained injuries to both of her feet/ankles when the tires ran over her legs....one requiring surgery to insert screws. While we are all very thankful that Melissa and her children were protected, it could have been an entirely different tragedy, the family needs our help.
Due to her injuries, Melissa is not able to be the stay at home mom she usually is on a daily basis as she is bed/wheelchair bound. She is looking at a 6-8 week recovery if all goes well.
The Bennett's are going to be responsible for the costs that are quickly adding up due to the accident. The alleged impaired driver left the scene of the accident before police arrived. It was also found out recently that the driver is NOT covered by insurance and yet, there are no current plans to charge the driver with any wrongdoings. We ask that you please keep the Bennett family in your prayers for healing, comfort and peace. Please consider donating any amount to help the Bennett family cover this unexpected financial burden. All money donated will go directly into an account for the Bennett family that will help cover all the emergency medical costs from the accident.
On behalf of Melissa and Brandon, we greatly appreciate everyone who has helped and will continue to help during the rough time. We are thankful for all of you and asked for continued prayers for our family, as well as, the suspect in this incident.
