Melissa’s Fight! #melissasmilitia

Dear Sweet Family and Precious friends,

I am starting this fundraiser for my sweet cousin, Melissa Hunsucker Gresham.  She’s been diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer and needs our immediate help! Her current medical insurance ends on November 30, she’s currently unemployed and raising her 9 year old son,  Luke.

The weekend of August 28, 2020, she noticed  some breast changes.  Got into her GYN office on Sept 1st and was scheduled for a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound on September 15.

Radiologist said it was cancer and scheduled a biopsy for September 21st.  Pathology confirmed it was Metastatic Breast Cancer.  She had her first appointment with oncologist and surgeon  today, October 1st.  Treatment plan is 6 rounds of chemo every three weeks, then surgery will be scheduled for a mastectomy.  She’s scheduled for a breast MRI on October 8th, and then chemo will begin.  After surgery, she will continue chemo for a year.  After that, they can schedule reconstructive surgery.

Please imagine if you were in her shoes facing a possible terminal illness under these circumstances.... Let’s come together and take some of the financial burden off her shoulders! She’s going to need lots of love, prayers and our support!! If you can’t support financially, please remember her in your prayers.
