Melissa Groenevelds Accident
Donation protected
Melissa Groeneveld, owner of Scruffy to Fluffy Pet Salon, Ortonville MI, was in a head on collision on August 3, 2018. Melissa suffered a fractured femur (which needed immediate surgery), fractured back, & neck plus a concussion. Along with many serious skin wounds.
Melissa will have a long recovery, in which she will not be able to work for months. Being as Meissa is self employed, she may be in jeopardy of loosing her business.
Melissa grew up with a love for animals and in 2001 went to school to become a pet groomer. In 2012 she opened her own grooming salon. She has worked very hard over the last 6 years to build her business. Which has won Best of the Best in the Ortonville area for the last 6 years. Melissa feels her business isn't just about making money, it is about helping the animals. She is especially passionate about working with puppies, rescued dogs or dogs that may have had a bad experience which makes them afraid of the the grooming process. She works one on one with these dogs slowly getting them use to all the noises, smells and feeling of the process while building trust and a bond with these dogs.
It would be devastating to her if she would have to close her doors due to this accident. Loosing her business would definitely make her recovery so much harder.
Your help is desperately needed to keep her business open.
