Melissa Hawkins - Medical Expenses

Hello Everyone, I’m Heather and I have known Melissa for nearly most of my life. I had to ask her about doing this, as I know she is super independent and would never want anyone to feel pity for her. Last year as many of her friends know, Melissa was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She had a double mastectomy, reconstruction surgery, and a hysterectomy and the doctors said she was cancer-free.

Earlier this year, Melissa began having some pretty bad back pain. The doctors took an x-ray and thought she possibly had bone spurs and sent her for additional tests. After receiving those tests, it was suspected that her cancer had spread. On March 29th, 2022, it was confirmed that she has Metastatic Breast Cancer that has spread to her bones.

Melissa is the type of person who will do anything for you, and she has such a huge heart. I know those around her would agree.

Melissa will be starting Chemo soon, and Radiation therapy and doctor appointments, medication and tests can get expensive. Financial worries are something I hate to have her deal with while she is going through all of this.
