Melissa Holcomb - Help her Rebuild!

Dear Friends, 

As Melissa's employer, Performance Personnel was incredibly saddened to learn that a fire destroyed her home and stole her keepsakes and belongings. We are committed to helping her but we also asked that she engage with us for some fundraising efforts. Melissa is a humble person, and asking for help is not always easy. We asked her to provide the below statement: so that our friends could understand the gravity of what occurred. 

"It is with a heavy heart that I reach out to you today. My home, the place where I raised my three children, celebrated countless holidays with my loved ones, and created countless memories, has been destroyed by a fire. Despite the efforts of the fire department, so much has been lost, including cherished keepsakes and all of the things that made our home special.

I can still remember the smell of my grandmother's famous apple pie baking in the oven on Thanksgiving, the sound of laughter and joy as we opened presents on Christmas morning, and the feel of my children's hugs as they told me about their day at school. These memories, and so many more, are now gone.

Through it all, I am grateful for the safety of myself and my furry friends, Zoe and Pixie. They were rescued by the firemen, and although they were badly affected by the smoke, they are on the road to recovery. This tragedy has been difficult to process, and I feel like I am in a daze, trying to make sense of what has happened. 

I never thought that I would find myself in this situation, but life can be unpredictable and sometimes throws us unexpected challenges. The thought of starting over is overwhelming, but I know that with your help and the grace of God, I will make it through this difficult time.

Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this challenging journey ahead. I have faith that with your support, we will rise from the ashes of this tragedy and create a new, even better home filled with love and memories."
