Melissa Lewis medical expenses

Donation protected
Melissa has recently been diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), a rare disorder where the body's immune system damages nerves.
The damage to the nerves causes muscle weakness and can lead to paralysis.
As a result, Melissa has been off work for 6wks and counting, 5 of which were spent in the hospital.
She is now at home beginning the painful journey to recovery, still dealing with the pain and learning how to walk with numb, weak legs.
Currently, Melissa must use a wheelchair or walker to get around and can’t drive.
Having used all available sick and vacation time, Melissa has applied for short-term disability and is waiting for a response.
For those that know her, Melissa is the type of person to help others, making this uncharted territory for her.
She recently contacted Transit Employee Support Team for assistance. With her blessing, TEST has created this Go Fund Me to assist with medical bills and help cover
living expenses as she begins this path to recovery. Please donate to help!!
