Melissa McKee

This week we tragically lost our beautiful, resilient, and charismatic friend Melissa McKee. She leaves behind her mother, Christine, older sister, Meagan, her twin sister Lindsey and her wife Gina, and her boyfriend Damian. Her sudden passing has left us stunned and heartbroken. Since 2015, Melissa has battled with a number of health complications. She suffered a stroke, followed by POTS and various autoimmune issues. Despite these incredible challenges, Melissa lived her life passionately. She enjoyed her career as a cardiovascular invasive specialist. She loved her boyfriend Damian and their dog Bailey and cat Hamlin. She had an incredible bond with her sister Lindsey. In Melissa’s honor, we’d like to raise money to help support her family in this time of need.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with their story, the McKees have experienced an immense amount of heartbreak and hardship over the past several years. In 2017 Melissa’s father, Sam McKee, tragically passed away after complications from a stroke. Then, in 2020, Melissa’s sister, Meagan, was diagnosed with a rare form of pediatric brain cancer. Meagan is still courageously fighting this battle. The emotional and financial strain of the past several years has greatly impacted the family. We’d love to come together as a community to help the McKees in any way we can. At this time, a financial donation is one tangible way to offer immediate help to the family.
