Passing of Melissa (Missy) Lynn Deroba

It is with heavy hearts to announce the passing of our dear friend Missy Deroba. She was in a fatal auto accident on November 7, 2023, at 11am.

You may have known Missy and her family from Sunbury, an alumni of Millersville University, an avid camper of PA campgrounds, and a coach at the Gymnastics Center of Hershey for the past 25 years.

 Missy leaves behind the love of her life and long-term partner, John, a beautiful and talented daughter, Claire, and her three fur babies – Buddy, Ginger, and Morgan. 

 As a close friend of Missy and her family, I have started a Go Fund Me to help the family cover funeral costs. Her family was not prepared for the high cost of a funeral, and during this difficult time, we are reaching out to the community for help. Please consider donating, if you can, as any amount would truly help. We are setting a goal of $50k to cover the funeral costs. Donations that exceed the funeral costs will go towards Claire’s college education.
