Melissa Pickard

Hi, my name is Tasha and I am setting up a Go Fund Me for Melissa because she neither has the time nor the energy to do it herself - and therefore she wouldn't even bother asking for any help when she absolutely needs it!

A few days ago, her father was having a simple procedure which ended up causing a stroke - severely damaging the right side of his brain. She is his proxy and had to make an emergency trip to Florida so the hospital could discuss treatment options with her. A decision was agreed upon with her family to remove his life support tube in hopes that he may be able to breathe, swallow and eat food on his own and then transition to rehab.

Sadly, he had to be moved to palliative care - and Ronald Pickard passed away at approximately 8:05pm last night.

Melissa had to shut down her business for the week (Smoke & Mirrors Salon) and isn't sure on her return date. She had to pay for an emergency flight and now has to fund his cremation costs, and the flight home, all while losing income from being closed, and Christmas is around the corner.

Please help if you can. She does so much for our community and for others - and now she could use some assistance of her own.
