Next Thursday is Epilepsy Ireland Day. This day is important in our school, St Joseph's College, Borrisoleigh as we have a number of students who attend our school whilst managing their epileptic condition. We wanted to help people become more aware of this condition and how it effects lives.
Melissa Ryan is in 5th year and she has asked me if we can mark this day by adopting the colour purple on the 25 of March. This organisation is indispensable for people like Melissa and as with many such organisations, they are hugely dependent on raising their own monies. I am asking you to view our video posted so bravely by Melissa. This will have achieved the main part of our goal, helping people be more aware. If you are in a position to contribute something we set up a simple little go fund me page.
The manner in which this young girls deals with her challenges is an inspiration to those of us who know her. Let’s target 1.000 euro as a show of support for her bravery.
