Melissa's Momma & Family Emergency
Donation protected
On January 11, Melissa's 57 year old mother, Nelda Valdez, suffered a massive stroke in her home in Madsisonville, Texas. She was Life flighted from their small town hospital to a more equipped facility in Bryan, Texas. The stroke occured on her brain stem and she was not expected to survive. A week later, she was transfered to an inpatient hospice, where she is barely hanging on to life. She is not expected to live much longer, as she has been taken off all medications and feeding tubes. The family is devastated by this sudden tragedy and is suffering immense pain.
Melissa and her two children, Ryan and Ayvabella live in Irvine, California, and flew out to see Nana Nelda, spending a total of 11 days in a hotel. They will be flying home so the kids can return to school, and Melissa can return to work. She plans to fly back to Texas for her mother's funeral, and will need to afford a babysitter for the kids while she is away. As tragic as the situation is mentally and emotionally, it is also hitting hard, financially. Between airfare, 11 days in a hotel, food, a babysitter, a trip in an ambulance to the emergency room and funeral expenses, Melissa was in no way prepared for a monetary loss of this magnitude.
If all of this wasn't enough, the stress of losing her mother caused a blood vessel and capillaries to burst in her nasal passages. Melissa was immediately taken by ambulance to a local hospital, and saw an ENT to follow up.
Melissa is the most selfless, loving and hardworking single mom, and needs our help to return home without having thousands of dollars of debt. Please join me in serving others in need by sending prayers, and if able, donating to her cause. Donations of any amount are welcomed and greatly appriciated. Thank you, and God bless.
