Melissa’s Mission: The Cancer Healing One

Hi! My name is Melissa Seilhan. I’m a wife of almost 28 years, mom of seven, and Memaw to five grandbabies. 

In the fall of 2023, I began seeking medical attention after finding a breast lump. As the months dragged on, the lump grew very quickly and became extremely painful. With each appointment, the words “possible cancer” became “highly suspicious” then to “highly suggestive for malignancy”. But throughout those first six months, God was right beside us guiding our every decision and leading us to different practitioners and doctors and alternative therapies.

We first met with a functional practitioner to discuss my original treatment plan which included lots of blood work, tests, and scans. I began alternative treatments and supplements right away which helped me tremendously while searching for an alternative cancer specialist which I found at Whole Health Center Houston in early 2024.

The alternative treatment plan presented to us comes with a huge price tag that, of course, insurance will not cover one penny of. We have already exhausted the little bit of savings we had rebuilt after returning home from the mission field on all of the previous appointments, tests, and starting of several therapies which helped to shrink the tumor! 

We have fundraised so many times over the past ten years to help others in these types of situations, but never imagined that we would be on this journey. Yet, here we are humbly asking, most importantly, for your prayers, but also for your financial support as we begin this new mission that God has set before us. We know that God has a plan and that He will provide for all of our needs just as He always has.
