Mellisa Berg and family during medical journey

Hello everyone!

I am making this to help my daughter Mellisa Berg and family. They have had a rough couple of years. As much as I would love to help them I am unable to financially which is why I am turning to this. It all started out when Mellisa needed to leave her job that she loved due to no daycare for their son after an accident left me with a broken hip ( I was their daycare). After that their 10 year old daughter had a horrible infection in her knee due to a scrape at school that left her with a surgery and 5 days in the hospital. Her husband had cellulitis a few months after putting him out of work for weeks (he is the families sole provider). Through all of this Mellisa had been having stomach issues which had worsened in the last couple of years. She finally decided to get a second opinion and they ran all types of tests. They finally diagnosed her with MALS which is Median arcuate ligament syndrome. This occurs when the arc-shaped band of tissue in the chest area (median arcuate ligament) presses on the celiac artery that sends blood to the upper abdomen and other organs. She had surgery for this on February 23rd. She is home and recovering but through all of this the medical bills have been piling up. Also Tyler took off work again to be with her for her 1st week after surgery. She will still have follow up appointments and her total recovery time is unknown. We know everyone comes on trying times but Mellisa would be the first to give you the shirt off her back. She doesn't like to ask for help and she continues to give back to her local pantry despite her situation. If you can give anything at all to help them out we would forever be grateful! All funds will be used for medical bills, fuel to follow up appointments and monthly bills if any left over.
