Melody and Kiya

It is with great sadness to lose a child, and so young. Melody was born with Pulmonary Atresia, Ventricular Septal defect, Atrial Septal Defect, Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome, MAPCAs, and Digeorge Syndrome.
Melody had come down with Pneumonia just last week that she was trying to recover from, when she tested positive for Covid-19 last night. It is with great sadness that she passed today with her mother Kiya by her side in the hospital.
Melody was born on the third of September, 2016 and had just celebrated her fourth birthday; after being told she wouldn't live past infancy. Melody is truly a MIRACLE child.
Even though she battled with her multiple diseases it didn't stop her from living a happy and busy life. No matter the obstacle she always had a smile on her face and the most beautiful laugh.
Melody is the light of Kiya's life, and there is not one thing she wouldn't have done for Melody just to see her smile.
During this time of grieving we are asking to raise money for Kiya in these already trying and difficult times to help with medical bills and living expenses so she is able to grieve the loss of Melody in peace. We are trying to alleviate any burdens so she doesn't have to do this on her own.
Thank you so much to all of those who have reached out to share their condolences, it is much appreciated.
