Melody's Africa Yoga Project

In November 2016 I will venture to Nairobi, Kenya to provide educational programming to yoga teachers with Africa Yoga Project assisting them in resume development, interview skills, and knowledge on creating and sustaining a business.  This program is of high value to help young adults obtain training and sustain employment where there is limited opportunity.  Many of the teachers through this program make enough money to support not only themselves, but up to 6 family members!  


As a yoga teacher I am moved by this mission to help other yoga teachers on the other side of the globe.  

As a previous career services professional I have the knowledge, skills, and passion to assist those in resume development and career exploration. 

As a service oriented individual I am called to help.

The $3000 I am seeking to raise will go towards Africa Yoga Project, flight to Kenya and all related program fees such as hotel stay, etc.  No donation is too small!

$5 Buys a yoga mat for an outreach location

$20 Sponsors a yoga class for a group of marginalized youth

$125 Sponsors a monthly stipend for one teacher to attend the AYP academy

$330 feeds 300 people at our community class

$500 provides clean drinking water at the Shine Center for 1 full year

$2500 trains a marginalized youth to be a yoga teacher
