homeless refugee families

Melody for Peace is a fundraising campaign established a year ago by a group of ordinary college students in the United States (based in San Diego and Atlanta) with different backgrounds, religions, and environments, but sharing one idea of peaceful coexistence to aid dislocated families and refugees in need in the United States and the Middle East. The team themselves came to the United Stated as refugees, and for having the opportunity to emerge again in society and enduring all the difficulties along the way in the fight for a safe life, we decided to help those who are lacking such opportunities to do the same.
As college students, we lack the financial resources to aid the families so we invested our talents as musicians to hold public events and festivals to collect donations to the families as 100% of the profit we make goes to them. We have successfully delivered money to refugee camps in Baghdad, dislocated families after ISIS crisis in Fallouja, Syrian camps in Jordan, and now low-income newcomers of Syrian families in the United States. We realized that leaving the war zones is not solving the crisis as many of those families upon arriving in the United States are lacking the knowledge of the culture, the language, and mostly the financial resources to provide decent lives for their kids and selves.
As for now, we shed our focus on those underprivileged families in San Diego to help them with food, clothes, rent and shelter, and basic daily needs.
