Meloney vet and cremation fees for Phoebe Buffay

Hi to all our amazing Global Pet Family.

Many of you will of course know Meloney Parker and therefore be familiar with her beautiful fluffy kitty Phoebe Buffay.

Sadly (and very suddenly), Meloney has had to say goodbye to Phoebe. They lived together with another kitty Murphy in Massachusetts, and now Phoebe has gone. ☹

In Meloney’s own words

“She had heart failure and despite being on oxygen for most of the morning she did not improve. I had to let her go and my heart hurts terribly. She was such a good girl and I feel like I failed her by not making it better.

Phoebe was born 4/12/11 and I adopted her on 12/30/11.”

Meloney was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2018, but the consultants who did the diagnosis reckoned that Meloney may have contracted it as much as 20 years earlier.

MS is a disease that affects the central nervous system. The immune system attacks the myelin, the protective layer around nerve fibers and causes Inflammation and lesions. This makes it difficult for the brain to send signals to rest of the body. Because of this, Meloney is unable to work and therefore has to rely on Social Security.

The sudden costs involving poor Phoebe have wiped out Meloney’s rent and personal budget allocation for this month.
