Mel's Bone Marrow Transplant
Donation protected
"On July 9th 2015 Mel was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (aml). In the month we spent at the hospital, alot of our plans and preparations were put on hold. This disease truly consumes your life. We really thought we were done. Then on May 23, 2016 the doctors at Emory University Hospital confirmed Mel had relapsed. She started her second induction of chemo. It was so unexpected, we were starting to get settled back into a sense of normalcy. Making plans, reorganizing finances and reconnecting with the important things that had been neglected. I'm not sure who knows about leukemia, but it moves so fast. You barley have time to process what's happening before you're dealing with the next step and forget preparing. Now we will be back at Emory for Mel's Bone Marrow Transplant. She will be in Atlanta for 100 days. After the first month I will be driving back and forth every other week. While she is here the last 2 months lodging may be an issue. We are again in need of help. Being out of work is scary, but the alternative is worse. Thank you all for your help." Also, please help spread the word and share the blog that will be attached . Follow her day by day progress.
