Melvin Parks Meriwether County tornado

Hi, I'm Elaine. Raising funds for victim of January 2023 tornado in Meriwether County. Many of you remember Melvin Parks, long time, beloved employee of Flint River Academy (pictured above,1974) and later Four Point LP Gas Co. Melvin and his wife were in their home on January 12, 2023 when the tornado hit the area, causing them to scramble to safety. Melvin says he doesn't move quite as fast as he once did, so by the time he got to the safest spot, the storm was past and had done it's damage. The tornado tore off the roof, damaged other parts of the home, damaged the well pump house and a tree crashed thru the middle of his truck, totaling it. The well pump is back in operation and a roof repair is scheduled for next week. While he did have some insurance, there are deductibles, and things not covered. Plus the truck was very old. so even fully insured won't allow him to get a replacement for reliable transportation. Melvin is part of the extended FRAmily and I know he would appreciate anything you can do to help.
