Memaw needs a Miracle

Hi, my name is Shelby. I am Memaws granddaughter. We all know and love our Memaw. Saturday afternoon Memaw and Paw were eating at a restaurant when all of a sudden Memaw lost her vision and feeling in her left side then passed out in their booth, then 911 was called and she was rushed to Lafayette General. After being in the ER for 8 hours we found out she had a stoke not knowing the severity. They did numerous test and scans. After 24 to 36 hours is when the neurologist can read the scans after a stroke. We were told Sunday 6/12/22 she had a ischemic stroke, it's a blood clot in the center of the cerebellum which is a very rare stroke. Beings she had a blood clot in the most important part of the brain. It became critical. They gave her a asprin enema to try to desolve the clot very slowly to avoid swelling and many other factors. Fast forward to this morning 6/13/22, 9:00 visit she WOKE up for the first time since she passed out. She talked, mumbled and moved. Everyone was so excited with her progress. They rushed her to get another scan because her speech wasnt what it should be. At the 1:00pm visit, the result came in. Memaws brain is swelling very rapidly. Alot of decisions needed to be made. It is now 3:30pm 6/13/22, her husband (paw) and her daughters agreed to let memaw have brain surgery. They will remove the part of the skull where she had the stroke to relieve the pressure. The surgery will last 2 hours. They just took her in. So im here asking for help and prayers. Memaw DOES NOT have insurance and paw doesnt care. Memaw will get the best care no matter what. Memaw also babysat so many babies to make a living for her and paw. She will be in the hospital for weeks, as well as rehab for months. She will not be able to work. But bills and medical bills dont stop. Please help Paw have one less burden to worry about. If you cannot help money wise please say a prayer for our family. Shes the absolute glue. ❤️
