Memorial and burial for Baby Munir “Toota”

Hello family, friends and community……this account is created on behalf of the Bolden/Delgado family who sustained a tragic loss in Goleta on

8/30/22 that has left them heartbroken. Due to the amazing ❤️ community requests to offer support this account was created to help this family during their most difficult battle to date.

A family deeply rooted in Santa Barbara who are known and loved by so many. Shana my sister and AMAZING mother endured a parents worst nightmare when her youngest son was struck by a speeding vehicle causing him to loose his precious life and just 1 year old. Next month Munir nicknamed “Toota” is known for his contagious smile and giggles. He would be turning 2 in just a few weeks and would have had his annual birthday party with his older sister who will be turning 8 as they birthdays are so close they always celebrate together. Instead they are all holding each other tight having witnessed as children the loss of their baby brother.

One thing we all say about Shana is she is an amazing mother and we all admire her for loving spirit for all of her children. Her mother Gaye also plays a large roll in her grandchildren lives and has lost a part of her heart with this unthinkable incident.

Toota is the baby of 6 children who are bonded and so close. His brothers 4,5,9,14 and sister 7 are trying to band together mourning the loss of their baby brother.

This loss has left a family to pick up the pieces of a heartbreak unimaginable to even myself. Munir Kamai Delgado received his Angel wings before any of us could imagine possible and we pray he is watching and sending signs to his mama, grandma and sister/brothers to provide some comfort in a time of loss.

This incident has left a mother to scramble with 5 other children whom she is the sole provider for and this forum was created for anyone who could find it in their heart to help with expensive memorial, burial and even just costs for the family while she is unable to anything but stand by her children.

We THANK the community and neighbors who met this morning as we discussed the dangerous street that is known for accidents, dangerous speeding vehicles, and will fight for a cross walk to this public park and speed bumps on this street in Toota’s honor. This should NEVER have happened…we thank each and every person who has called , messaged, and reached out. The family needs time to heal and please feel free to reach out to me for any questions.
