Memorial and Medical Expenses for Amber Swartz

Life can change in the blink of an eye. For my family, the world stopped spinning on Friday, January 13th. At only 41 years old, my aunt Amber Swartz passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, due to complications from her diabetes and heart issues.

I’m setting up this fundraiser for my family. My aunt was married to her high school sweetheart Kyle for over 23 years. She’s also survived by her sons Tyler (22), Jacob (20), and Gage (15). These boys have all not known a day without Ambers love and guidance, and this will be a difficult adjustment for us all.

Amber first fell sick 4 years ago. After many months of ICU stays, doctors offices, and a life saving surgery requiring a leg amputation, Amber did everything she could to remain positive and keep moving forward. Unfortunately, with COVID and her new lifestyle, Amber was unable to work and many of the financial responsibilities fell on Kyle and her sons working to provide for their family.

Amber passed away unexpectedly just after the holidays. No one is still able to make sense of this tragedy. Kyle is now a widow and wants to be present and provide for his boys. We have lost an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. A funeral was not something our family had been prepared for, as we were so hopeful of our beautiful Amber getting better. Not only has Kyle been working to pay off Amber’s medical expenses and funeral costs, but yesterday his brakes went out on his work vehicle. He was able to crash into a tree to avoid hurting any other drivers, but is now out of a vehicle to work. The last thing we want to burden the Swartz boys with as they grieve are these daunting expenses.
