Memorial Bench and Tree for Zach in Crystal Park

Hello Everyone,

We have been working with the City of Worcester and the City of New Orleans to set up memorial benches and trees in memory of Zach. I apologize for the long process! We have finally received full quotes from both cities, and the Benches and trees will be completed in the Spring of 2023. We will need to raise a bit more to put up the benches in both locations.

Worcester Costs:

Bench and Plaque: $2,739

Tree: $550

New Orleans Cost: $3,065

Total Cost: $6,354

I ask that we redistribute this to our community of folks who love Zach, so we can put something permanent in these two cities that he loved.

We are all still grieving the loss of our wonderful friend Zach Schnitzer. Before the upcoming Clark University 10 year Reunion weekend (which would have been Zach's 10th year from graduating in 2012), I would like to purchase a memorial bench and tree in Crystal Park in Worcester, across the street from Clark's campus.

 

I believe that Zach's experience at Clark had a strong impact on Zach's life, and when he passed away he was working as a social worker for the Main South community, where the bench would be located.

 

If funded, the inscription would read:

 

Zachary Schnitzer

1990-2021

He never sat still.

 

If more than 3,000 is raised, we hope that we can dedicate benches and trees in other cities that Zach lived and worked in: New York and New Orleans.
