Memorial Bench for Tristan Carter

My son’s best friend Tristan tragically lost his life last month. I have been thinking of ways I can help my son through this grieving process and ways I can honor Tristan. 

The dock at Lum park is a special place to my son because it was Tristan’s favorite fishing spot. Tristan also used to live on Rice Lake. My son and Tristan used to go there a lot as kids and fish off the dock. They made a lot of memories there. That is also where I found my son the night he got the devastating news about his friend. 

What better way to honor Tristan’s memory than a memorial bench at that very location? Also to have such a special place where my son and other friends and family of Tristan can go sit and remember him. 

I have been excited about making this idea come to life but upon learning the cost I know this is not something I can afford to do on my own right now. So I am asking for the help of friends and family who loved Tristan, and friends and family who love my son. Every dollar helps. Having this memorial would mean so much to my son, myself, and so many people who loved Tristan. Let’s make this memorial bench a reality.
