Memorial Donation for Dylan Stopinski

Dylan Stopinski, son of Heather and Rick Stopinski, passed away at age 20 on 4/29/24. This is really hard to write but he committed suicide. Dylan loved his brother Erik more than anything. He was Erik’s person. The two spent a lot of time together when we uprooted them from Illinois to California as kids. They had similar interests in Marching Band, video games, doing well in school, swimming in our pool, playing with all of our pets, going on long hikes, climbing rocks, boogie boarding or just making fun of their parents. Dylan was always offering to pay for or buy things for Erik. He offered to pay for a trip out of his college loan money for Erik to go to Austrialia or do a summer course at UC Davis on nanotechnology.

Therefore, in lieu of flowers for Dylan’s memorial service, we are asking for donations to Erik’s college education fund. Dylan was so proud of Erik and he would have wanted this more than anything.
