Memorial Expenses for Angela McDowell

Wednesday, October 21, Angela McDowell lost her life in such a horrific way, as a result of domestic violence. She, her daughter, her son, and her two granddaughters were held hostage at gunpoint in her home by her boyfriend. After some time, the boyfriend shot Angela 22 times in front of her two children and two grandchildren. Her own family had to witness her heinous murder. 

Michel’le, Angela’s daughter and the mother of the the two grandkids, has only asked the community for their prayers. Michel’le is Godly woman, and is confident that He will see their family through this. Below is a post she made to her social media:

“I never in a million years could dream your kids and grandkids would watch you be taken away from us by a monster. 22 times he pulled the trigger then walked away...and there was nothing I could do to help you! Who is supposed to save me now? You have always been my rescue, a fighter and so strong. It wasn’t supposed to be like this.... your smoochie is so lost, broken and hurt. I love you always mommy.”

This family has gone through such a traumatic event. I could not imagine picking myself up to plan my mother’s funeral, after having witnessed her murder. Therefore, as a friend of Michel’le’s, I am asking for your help in at least lightening the burden of paying for the cost of the memorial/funeral. Anything amount will help and will be so appreciated. I also ask that everyone continues to pray over this family as they learn to navigate through life after suffering from such a great loss.
