Kelly was loved and cherished by many and left us too soon.
Kelly had a passion for the outdoors, horses, big dogs, fuzzy peaches, sugar cookies and sharing her infectious smile with all of us. Her size was deceptive, she could be strong willed and tough when needed, especially when training horses or keeping Deoji in line.
Caring for, riding and training horses was a big part of Kelly’s life. Cleaning the paddocks, training her five horses, plus the many others in the barn. Kelly won many awards in Jumpers and Hunters.
Over the past year, Kelly battled with metastatic melanoma and tackled it like everything else she did. With Neil at her side, heart and strength, supported by family and friends. Kelly found peace and enjoyed recent months sharing laughs and memories, watching a few Seahawk games, and the BIG “Princess” celebration for her 42nd birthday.
Kelly passed away today October 26th, surrounded by family and friends, knowing she was loved.
Kelly is survived by her loving husband and best friend Neil Schuler, her parents Dan and Wanda Mahony, her brothers Mike (Jen) Mahony, Scott (Heather) Mahony, nieces Emily, Samantha, Michaela and nephew Dominic.
Funds raised will go directly to Kelly’s husband Neil to assist with memorial expenses, service, a riding class bursary and a few other commemorative plans. The family has requested no flowers, food or gifts please.
