Memorial Expenses for Nicholas Balsamo

Dear friends of the Balsamo Family:

As you know, Nina and Louis’s son Nicholas Logan Balsamo, aged 27, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022 after a lifelong struggle with diabetes. As his family grieves this loss and plans for an upcoming Celebration of Life and Memorial for Nicholas, the expenses are mounting up.

Nina, Louis, and Mia plan to memorialize Nicholas’s life by planting a dogwood tree and placing a memorial bench in the Michael W. McCarthy Memorial Riverwalk in Port Jervis. Nicholas enjoyed this park towards the end of his life, and his family often spends time there, looking out at the Delaware River. Please consider making a gift to help them cover the expenses, for both his funeral and memorial.

Nicholas was a resident of Montclair, New Jersey, for 15 years, before moving to Port Jervis. He graduated from Montclair High School with the class of 2014 and was a member of the Championship winning Montclair Fencing Team. He was a brilliant artist and musician, who, with no formal training, could compose and sing beautifully, paint and draw effortlessly. He was a gifted athlete, and enjoyed fencing, playing baseball, basketball, and hockey. He was an avid sports fan and always enjoyed watching and discussing sports with his father.

This is a very difficult time for the Balsamo family but helping with these mounting expenses is a way that we can come together to help ease the financial burden as they grieve the untimely death of Nicholas.
