Memorial Expenses for Spencer Mudaliar ("Sammy")
Donation protected
Spencer, or “Sammy”, as he was affectionally called by many, tragically lost his life in a traffic accident on March 30th. His family and extended family are shocked and heartbroken with his sudden passing. Spencer was a hardworking young man with a big heart, and he will be dearly missed. He had attended Mountlake Terrace High school in the Edmonds School District and was just beginning his journey into adulthood.
Spencer’s Ohana is a large circle of family, friends, church and community members. Those relationships were important and meaningful to him. Easy-going and easy to talk to, he had a knack for getting to know people. Spencer used his gift of conversation and giving-nature to find meaningful ways to connect with others. A lover of cars and music, a natural handy-man and mechanically-talented, he wouldn’t hesitate to get dirty if someone needed him. He put his family first, tried to do the right thing, and was happy to serve others. This deep-rooted service was evident as he had just enlisted in the US Army.
Spencer was also an accomplished Boy Scout in Troop 67 and had earned his Eagle Scout award by organizing a successful diaper drive to assist a local organization for newborns. He spent his summers volunteering at Boy Scout day camps, alongside his amazing family. He also volunteered several summers as a program-aide for Bothell Day Camp, a Girl Scout day camp, where he led a station and delighted hundreds of campers with his high-powered rockets, creativity, and humor. When volunteering, Spencer liked to make others laugh but took his responsibility seriously; he wouldn’t take a break until the job was done and everyone was happy.
Many people have been asking how they can be of assistance to the Mudaliar family at this time. In Spencer’s memory, please consider donating. Your financial contribution will help to lift the very real financial burden of Spencer’s memorial costs.
