It is with a heavy heart that we share the tragic news of the passing of our beloved, Carl Jay Zappa. Carl was such a kind, loving, and caring human. He was the person to walk into a room and make others smile and laugh. His face would glow as he laughed with others. Unfortunately, he struggled with deep emotional pain and took his own life on June 2nd, 2024. As scary as it is, I will not shield the truth and hope to bring awareness to others. We are reaching out for support during this incredibly difficulty time. Carl leaves behind so much family that loved him but most importantly his beloved daughter Cayley Lynn Zappa (age 11) and his son, Matthew Christopher Hammond (age 15). While we are grieving, we are also faced with unexpected financial burdens, including funeral expenses and support for his immediate family. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference and help us honor Carl’s memory in a meaningful way. We understand that not everyone may be able to contribute financially, but your thoughts, prayers, and shares of this campaign are equally appreciated.
