Memorial for Debra Marie Magana (nee Orozco)

On October 3rd 2020, the world lost an infinitely loving mother and full-hearted source of joy to so many friends and family. For nearly 30 years she helped special needs students in the Paramount Unified School District and would share stories of former students bumping into her at grocery stores, sharing memories they had of her as kids even as they were now adults with children of their own. She began as a Noon Duty Aide in 1992 at Gaines Elementary, and was promoted in 1993 as an Instructional Aide at Wirtz and Lakewood schools. She was again promoted in 2003 to Special Education Aide while continuing to work at Wirtz. Through the years she worked Keppel, and had been working at Tanner since 2009.


She loved easily, and all that met her fell in love with her. There has been an outpouring of love from those far and near wanting to help with the expenses related to the last days before her light left this world, so this GoFundMe has been created to facilitate that.


Debra's three children have been truly touched by the responses and love sent their way, and are deeply appreciative of any donation made to help during this difficult time.
