Help Fund Memorial for Janice Harris
Donation protected
For any that may not know, I'm Sarah Black, Janice Harris' daughter. She passed away suddenly, and very unexpectedly, in her sleep on 11/27/2024. My brother, sister and I are trying to raise funds to give her the memorial and burial that she deserves. One that can be almost as beautiful as she is, inside and out.
She stayed strong and carried us through this tornado we've been stuck in since Mack suddenly passed, almost two years ago. She promised to stay until we didn't need her anymore. So, I guess.. I disagree, but she knows best. I trust that she knows better than I do. Finally. I'm sorry for always being so stubborn, Mom. Sometimes I think we competed in that field.
She was ready to go to her final home, into Mack's wide open arms with his giant warm smile. He was the love of her life. Mom was never treated as well as she should have been in this life, not until he found her. I believe she is finally receiving the joy and appreciation now that she should have been able to for the past 63 years. Life was hard on her, but she always brushed it off, held her head high, and said "Is that all you got?".
Like Mack always said, "the show must go on". And then mom would say "you idiot!", and laugh. It was amazing to see the way they loved each other. The kind of love that you always hope to find yourself. Everlasting.
She is survived by a son, two daughters, and 10 grandchildren. She didn't have a lot of friends, just the one's she needed.
We are still trying to understand what happened and we are waiting for answers. My Autistic son, Nathan, was the one to find her, the day before his 16th birthday. He protected his 10 year old brother that was there from the news until I got there. My brother's 15 year old son Keegan was there as well. Those two 15 year old young men handled that situation with a maturity and calmness that I never knew 15 year old boys could have. They handled the situation better than I ever could have dreamt of. They are all so lost and broken right now. They were extremely close to her, in fact were living with her temporarily.
The past two years have been extremely trying and they have endured far more than they should have had to at such young ages. Please keep them especially in your prayers every day. We will try to share as we learn new details, we don't expect to know anything for another 4 or 5 days.
Thank you all for reading, and for any help you can give. No matter what form it comes in.
