Memorial for Josh Stewart
Donation protected
As myself and so many others grieve the loss of Josh—as a son, cousin, uncle, friend and husband; what Josh excelled at the most was being a father. We ache for his wife and children left searching for the pages torn from a book that they believed had already been written.
Amanda and Josh “Stewy” Stewart quickly learned all they needed to know about each other. They were one boot-scootin’, dynamic duo with a parallel love for the outdoors, animals, adventure, and country music! Together, they built a strong relationship, a family, a new home, and a life that they once only dreamt of.
Fast-forward—10 wedded years, 2 beautiful children, their dog Grover, 30+ chickens, and at least 10 country concerts later…
On Sunday, January 8, 2023, the day before his 33rd birthday, Josh was the victim of a tragic accident while working on a vehicle in his garage. He was preparing for his daily, 5-hour commute to work and back the following morning. One routine Sunday led Amanda and their young children (ages 6 and 10) on a new, very unexpected and unfamiliar path—a journey without Josh.
We, as friends and family, are struggling to accept the reality of this devastating situation. We are trying to ignore the potential risks that could result without the support and sacrifices that Josh selflessly provided for his family. We worry about the inevitable stress that Amanda and the kids will experience along this re-written journey and we do not want them to lose anything more than they already have.
That is why we are here.
This is what we believe to be the easiest way to reach others who are financially able and inclined to help Amanda grieve without worry. All donations will go directly toward the family and their prioritized costs (e.g., mortgage, utilities, insurance, taxes, groceries, etc.). If donations were somehow to exceed these costs, the remainder would be placed in a fund for their two children. No donation is too small and every penny is greatly appreciated. Whether or not you are able to provide a monetary donation, please support Josh’s family in prayer; for strength, comfort, and hope—until their paths meet again.
Thank you.
