An Everyday Hero- Kim Jeffries

Kim Jeffries was a loving mother of 2 daughters (Korey and Kyla) and grandmother of 2 grandson's, who spent decades of her life working tirelessly to improve the conditions for low-income residents in her community Uptown, her city Chicago and the country. Kim worked to keep buildings in the community affordable and stopping displacement and gentrification. She worked to improve the schools by serving on the Local School Councils as a parent and as a community member. Most recently Kim was one of the organizers and leaders of the Northside Mutual Aid program , distributing fresh healthy food ,sanitary supplies and clothing to residents in Uptown since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020. Despite being physically challenged herself by the affects of disease she was out there every week sun, rain, heat, cold and snow. That was who Kim was. A family oriented, community activist.

Please help my family raise the money that is necessary for Kim’s Final Expenses. The money will be used to pay for expenses toward her memorial services as well as to help her daughter and grandchildren travel to Chicago to celebrate her life with her family and loved ones and take care of her estate.
